Scripture and Prayer Topic: Selflessness

Scripture: Acts 20:24

But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.

Prayer:

Gracious Divine, may we embrace each day... listening... to the soft whispers of the so-ul-fully guided ones, contracted to enter our lives at teachable moments. May we realize and remember the sacrifices of the souls who come and challenge us the most, have made or are making, when we want to view them as less than “shift heads…” souls who agreed to seriously challenge our thought processes during this incarnation. Going forward, may we view them with more of the love which brought us back together, in those pivotal “here and now” moments… as we ascend to where you have called us to BE. For they… are we… and we.. are they, for others with whom WE are also in contract for shifting into higher vibrations and thought processes. Love… is Light. Light is Love. We thank you for creating us, as Light and Love. Amen.

Personal/Professional Growth Tool Suggestion:

Gather, either in person or via electronic means, to participate in a group meditation. Make it a practice to do so, regularly. You may find it can help connect you with your coworkers by giving you an “outside venue” about which to share your experiences, objectively. In doing something like meditation, as an activity, it could open the door to more meaningful conversations… as you can discuss how IT made you or the coworkers feel or how it reminded each of you… “about the time…” Learning about one another on a more personal level, leads to a greater understanding and insights to how we each think and process stimuli… which can lead to a more efficient workplace/workflow.

Coping Skill Suggestion:

Instead of entering a state of overwhelm, think of each experience, whether positive or negative, as a growth opportunity and shift your mindset towards being grateful to be alive to receive it. The quickest way to do so? Take those few negative syllables you might typically say to self-sabotage or degrade another; and flip it to a positive same syllable response, audibly. For example: “Thank you.” “Bless you.” Perhaps, turn the two words into a longer prayer… “Dear Lord, thank you for Blessing me, so!” You may find your words and facial expressions begin to lighten your “soul load.”
