Scripture: Romans 2:14-16

For when Gentiles, who do not have the law, but by nature do what the law requires, they are a law to themselves, even though they do not have the law. They show that the work of the law is written on their hearts, while their conscience also bears witness, and their conflicting thoughts accuse or even excuse them on that day when, according to my gospel, God judges the secrets of men by Christ Jesus, ( ESV.)

Prayer:

Holy Father, help us to remain strong and true to your teachings and the example you sent your son to show us to be, no matter the level of depravity other humans show us lives within them. Guide us to remain true to what you placed within our own hearts and remember to reside in the loving sacred space you planted deeper than it all. Amen.

Personal/Professional Growth Tool Suggestion:

Instead of spending time and resources on creating vision boards, take 1-5 steps daily towards accomplishing the goals you already know you have, preferably on the authentic person you want to BE, not simply things you want to do or have.

Coping Skill Suggestion:

Build yourself a drum, whether it be simply recycling an old oatmeal carton, box, etc. Decorate it any way you like; then, be still and quiet. Listen to hear your own heartbeat and play that rhythm. If it’s fast, try to be mindful in that moment to let go of any anxiety or fear you may be feeling… breathe deeply, and slow your heartbeat. Hum into the cardboard or the frame to exemplify singing to soothe your own heart. We can often sing to calm babies or others; yet, don’t think to show ourselves that same love. Now’s the time for self-love.
