Scripture and Prayer Topic: Anger/Forgiveness
Scripture: Galatians 6:1-2
Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted. (Christian Today)
Prayer:
Spirit of the living God, we see you... as you are always present to lift us from our knees, when the ills of the earthly world, knock us down. May we remember these are lessons we’ve, on some level, asked to learn in this lifetime. May we not fall into the easy path of remaining silent when we see others are in need of just one who will stand alongside them, in their hour of trial. May we find our courage in the faith you, in your infinite love, always stand with us… when we do as you call us to do, and BE, for one another. May we find that same grace towards others, through your name. Amen.
Personal/Professional Growth Tool Suggestion:
Take a break from those with whom you typically connect over lunch or coffee. Instead, invite someone whom you normally overlook… someone who works for you, under you, below you in rank, position, “status.” Invite them to share part of their life story with you… and just listen to absorb the weight of their words, not to respond. When they are done speaking or sharing, only then ask about how what they shared made them feel at the time any event happened… and how they felt about sharing it with you. Thank them for BEing vulnerable enough to trust you… and please keep that trust. Imagine bringing that sense of humanity to each of your business or work interactions and the weight that integrity would bring to the world. Value. Every. Human.
Coping Skill Suggestion:
Havening Techniques, also known as Delta Wave Techniques, can be a great option to learn for releasing unwanted stress, anxiety, or emotions by using physical tapping and/or brushing type strokes strategically on the body, shown to resemble the effects of delta sleep waves. If you’d like more information on how this technique may enhance your life, please contact the friend and BEautiful soul who taught me about it at: nancyyeates@verizon.net with a subject line “Havening Techniques Request CTR.” (Nancy also taught me about the Tapping technique, mentioned January 13)
(I am currently and have thus far only recommended coping skills I have personally used, am using, and have found effective. My goal is to share things I have found to be helpful, in the hopes they may offer the same help, or better, for you. I believe in lifting those who elevate my life. I love it when people I meet or know share their Blessings of wisdom, with me and those I love.)
