Scripture and Prayer Topic: Courage and Faith.
Scripture: Psalm: 56: 3-4
When I am afraid, I will trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can mortal man do to me.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, in moments we question our strength to do what is right, just, and true to your guiding Light within us, may we find resolve in the teaching guidance of the Son you sent to show us the way of truth and love for all of your creations. May we not get eternally lost in the fears and idolatries that are professed as being our savior and remember that space is only and of The Divine. What we foster in love and tend as truer to the bountiful Gifts you have graciously always provided, surely will nurture and give us everything we need… just as it did in days of old. May we remember how your Son was mocked, ridiculed, bullied, beaten, and crucified for speaking of your words, your messages. Anytime we think speaking up on your behalf isn’t worth the pain… let us ask you for the strength and courage to not just profess to be Christians; but, to BE willing to walk in the same pain as your Sacrificed Son, The Lamb who was slain. Let us walk, bathed in your Light, always. Amen.
Personal/Professional Growth Tool Suggestion:
Have a GI Party! Have everyone work as a team to totally clean every nook and cranny of a room, office, building, etc. depending on the size of your crew and workspace. There’s dusting, mopping, cleaning pictures, light fixtures, switches, microwaves, sinks, the list can be endless… but, figure out what folks special gifts are. If there are things that need fixed, find out who is handy in those areas and have them tackle those. You’ll all appreciate the work space and one another knowing how hard everyone worked to BEautify it for each other.
Coping Skill Suggestion:
Get outside and enjoy some sun and a game. If you’re not into sports, bring a game for one like cards and play solitaire or ask someone to join you. This is an exercise in getting off devices and returning to doing something tactile with your hands or feet or head, if volleyball or tetherball.
