Scripture and Prayer Topic: Peace

Scripture: Colossians 3:15

And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. (countryliving.com)

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, in the times our lives can feel like the weight of the world can be crushing, let us remember to turn to you… Lord of all, and Prince of Peace. For it is in you, through you, with you… there is always a way to set the weight of this world down and honor we are your children. We, and all of your creations are born of love... from you, as part of you. Therefore, you… are we… and we are you. Just as you are peace, as are we… when we discard the untruths we have been trained to see… afraid to BE. Help us to feel, live, eat, and breathe the oneness of spirit in which you created us, we are Gifts of you, and it is there and here, now… you have asked us to BE. In that truth, we are free… And... Are... Peace.

Personal/Professional Growth Tool Suggestion:

Talk a group walk, stroll, ride on your next lunch break and have a picnic outside on a day that has mild weather. Spring or fall are typically more ideal for those who are heat and sun sensitive. One can always add layers during the chilly days.

Coping Skill Suggestion:

Paint your nails, style your hair differently, put on makeup. It doesn’t matter if you identify as male or female… pretend you’re a child again with no inhibitions before the “adults” of the world told you all of the random rules some other adult came up with that others simply “fell in line” into following orders. Pretend you’re an actor or actress or acting person preparing to audition for an upcoming role. Be someone else for a day. Step into someone else’s shoes.
