Scripture and Prayer Topic: Peace
Scripture: John 14:27
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives, do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.
Prayer:
Gracious and almighty God, help us to know that when we choose to live in your love, we can only do so by letting go of our fear of all else… for love and fear cannot reside in the same space, at the same time. Help us to not fear CHOOSING love; but instead, remember... your love whispered the breath of our lives... into BEing. Help us to not waste it; but, to fully embrace BEing the gift you called us to BE for you and one another, in this world.
Personal/Professional Growth Tool Suggestion:
Get an adult coloring book and color during a work or school break. That’s right. Learn how to release your stress by returning (or trying it for the first time,) by seeing if you can stay inside the lines. Does it stress you out to even think about having to stay within the confines of the lines or designs? Are you of calm resolve to think of your different way or style of coloring a page to just be your “personal flare?” What if we treated all of the differences in one another as the “personal flares” we were meant to share and use to teach one another, rather than divide us? What if your group did this kind of sporadic or random or quirky artsy/talent scoping skill on a kinda regular basis and you identified someone who has felt “let out” or “left behind” has an incredible gift that could help you, your business, your organization shine on a level you’ve never done? Win Win!
Coping Skill Suggestion:
Learn a new hobby or return to one you enjoyed. Just as there are classes online for professional growth, there has also been an explosion in making learning a new hobby more affordable than ever. If you watch places like Masterclass and Udemy, (you could probably Google a lot more learning sites; but, these are ones I have been enrolled in my own learning journey,) they often offer up to 95% off their courses… meaning you could embrace learning more about something you’ve dreamt of doing professionally all or most of your life! I know covid’s biggest lesson for some of us was to fully embrace all of whom we were/are created to BE!
